Under Troy Pickard’s leadership Council has:

• Increased the Natural Areas Program budget from $241,000 in ‘06/’07 to $2.1 mil in 09/’10
• Upgraded drains at Yellagonga Regional Park and coastal foreshore reserves
• Created the Craigie Bushland Conservation Sanctuary - a flora and fauna nature reserve
• Protected 32 high priority natural areas from development
• Reduced the City’s greenhouse gas emissions through the Greenhouse Action Plan 2007-10
