Since elected as Joondalup Mayor in May 2006, Troy Pickard has returned stability and good governance to the City of Joondalup and restored the community’s confidence in the Council. Troy Pickard has delivered on many of his commitments made during the 2006 election.

• Opened the $10.1 mil upgrade of the Craigie Leisure Centre
• Provided a 240 litre yellow top recycling bin to all households
• Banned smoking on all beaches, in alfresco areas and city building entrances
• Major refurbishment of 14 community centres and halls
• Commenced provision of entry statements throughout the City
• Revitalised the city centre with new initiatives and a pending tourism precinct
• Started planting native species in the median strips of all major east/ west roads
• Beautified our streetscapes, natural areas, parks and public open spaces
• Sound financial management, allocating $24.65 mil in four years to reserve accounts
• Established strong ties with crucial City stakeholders and adjoining local governments
• Developed the Ocean Reef Marina Concept Plan and progressed to public comment
